Welcome to Nihongo Learn. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Nihongo Learn application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Nihongo Learn is a Japanese language learning application that provides interactive lessons, exercises, and educational content designed to help users study and improve their Japanese language skills.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to download and use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
Nihongo Learn does not require a separate account registration. Access to the app is managed through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your app store account and device. Any activity that occurs through the app on your device is your responsibility.
Nihongo Learn offers both free and paid content. Paid features are available through in-app purchases and subscriptions processed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The specific features available under each plan may change from time to time. All pricing is displayed within the app store listing and in-app purchase prompts.
All billing is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective terms and policies. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date through your app store account settings.
We may offer free trial periods for paid subscriptions through the app store. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your app store account will be charged for the subscription plan you selected. Trial eligibility is determined by the app store and is generally limited to one trial per user.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. Nihongo Learn does not directly process cancellations.
Since all purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, refund requests must be submitted directly to the respective app store in accordance with their refund policies. If you need assistance, you may also contact us at the email address provided below.
You agree not to use the Service to:
All content, materials, software, trademarks, and other intellectual property associated with the Service are owned by or licensed to Nihongo Learn. This includes but is not limited to lesson content, images, audio recordings, graphics, and application code. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
You may have the opportunity to submit content through the Service, such as profile information or learning notes. You retain ownership of any content you create, but by submitting it you grant Nihongo Learn a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, store, and display that content as necessary to operate and improve the Service.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Nihongo Learn does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant any specific learning outcomes or language proficiency results from using the Service. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nihongo Learn and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that may harm the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We may also notify you via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Nihongo Learn operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of that jurisdiction, at Nihongo Learn's discretion.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
